Ingredients
2 Bartlett pears, cored and cut into 8 wedges

1/2 cup (125 mL) Balsamic Cream/Glaze

1 tbsp (15 mL) butter
|
3/4 cup (175 Ml) Danish Blue Cheese, crumbled
|
1/3 cup (75 mL) Mascarpone
|
2 tbsp (25 mL) fresh parsley, chopped
|
8 1/2” baguette slices, toasted
|
1 tbsp (15 mL) walnut pieces, toasted
|
Freshly ground black pepper
|
Balsamic Cream for garnish
|

Method

In a small bowl stir together Blue cheese, Mascarpone, fresh ground pepper and parsley.

Melt butter in a medium frying pan, add balsamic glaze and heat until bubbly. Do not boil.

Reduce heat to medium-low, add pears and cook slowly for about ten minutes, turning frequently until slightly softened. The finishing touches, teaspoon cheese mixture on top of a baguette slice, top with cooked pear wedge and toasted walnuts.

Drizzle with balsamic cream.
