We call it Bar Italia because that's exactly what our cafés look, feel and smell like. Italy.

Bustling with warm and friendly conversation, (we admit it can get loud), delicious cakes, pastries, pizza, panini, soups & salads. Italian comfort food & great tasting coffee we're proud of.

It’s a legacy we owe Frank Spinelli, the Italian Centre’s founder–the first man to ever serve lattés and cappuccinos in Edmonton in his first Bar Italia in the Little Italy store. We’ve named all the other cafés since, in his honour.

We also honour that coffee-drinking is an Italian art. There are as many ways to prepare and drink espresso, as there are shapes of pasta or Italian soccer teams. So here’s a little Italian lesson, which we hope you’ll practice with us in person. Oh, and by the way Espresso is coffee. Expresso is a small, very fast train. Grazie.
